Glowy, Golden Summer Makeup Look

IMG_7273Recently in my Spring OOTD blog post, I got a couple comments on my makeup and even a comment asking me to write a tutorial! So thank you for the idea and today I’m bringing you this glowy, bronzed, spring-summer makeup look.IMG_7335

  1. IMG_7739Brows- Up until recently I had no idea how much of an impact brows had. I use the Nyx tame and frame brow pomade in ‘blonde’. I use a small, angled brow brush to fill them in and I only fill them I lightly. I then get this pot concealer by Nyx which is their full coverage one just to carve them out with a lil’ Real Techniques detailer brush and finally I set them in place using the Rimmel clear Brow This Way gel.
  2. Processed with VSCO with a6 presetBase- I’m actually tan at the moment, which is why I’m using a darker foundation than usual. I think a BB cream would be equally nice for a lighter look. However, I just used the trusty L’Oréal true match in ‘Golden Sand’ and mixed it with this Seventeen liquid highlighter (which is very sadly now discontinued, so if you know of any other affordable liquid highlighters, please hit me up) to add to the dewiness. I then used the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer which is really nice in the hotter months because it’s not as full coverage as other concealers. I then just did a general sweep of the Rimmel Stay Matte powder under my eyes to set my concealer and any other places that may get oily during the day.
  3. BF4FEF99-85D2-43E0-B5FC-E05354782210Face- I’m using one of my current favs today- this beautiful Elf blush and bronzer duo in ‘St. Lucia’. I used a fluffy brush to sweep the bronzer over my cheekbones, jawbone and forehead. I also used the Makeup Obsession contour powder in ’03’ just to chisel those cheekbones and then used the St. Lucia blush which really compliments the bronzer. For highlight, a.k.a the best thing ever, I used another Makeup Obsession highlighter which is simply stunning. It’s in the shade ‘lightning’ which I think is very fitting as it’s so striking and is white with shimmers or ‘strikes’ of gold running through it.
  4. Finishing touches- I curled my lashes and then applied some of the Maybelline lash sensational, the waterproof version. I then used some highlighter in my inner corner and under browbone and then applied some Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in ‘candy queen’ which really set the look off. I then used a mixture of two sprays; the Mario Badescu rosewater one which was more refreshing and then the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray which made sure my makeup didn’t sweat off in the sun.

That’s it for this dewy, golden makeup look, please leave me affordable liquid highlighter recommendations! I will hopefully have a blog post up next week but that is in the midst of exams, but I will see you very soon!

Travel Bucket List

As summer is approaching, I thought it was fit to write a travel bucket list of all the places I want to go in my lifetime as summer you know it’s holiday season.  I’m going to London for a week this year so I’m hoping to have a blog post on that and get some cool photos there, let me know if you’re going anywhere this year and what’s been your favourite holiday? Mine has to be Florida, last year!

New York, New York

Who doesn’t want to go to New York? The city that never sleeps.  It’s been a dream of mine since I’ve been a little girl to go to this city. It has so many landmarks like the Empire State building, Statue of Liberty, Times Square as well as the said to be stunning Central Park. I just think that it would be such an amazing feeling to wake up and see the stunning NYC skyline. The Big Apple would 110% be at the top of my bucket list, I’d especially love to go during the Christmas period as it just looks like a fairytale.

I think Greece just seems the most beautiful place. Ever since I seen Zoella and Alfie visit Mykonos I was immediately in love. It just looks so picturesque and I would love to visit it. Whether it’s a Greek Island, Athens, Santorini or Mykonos, all look absolutely breathtaking and I’d be lucky to visit any.

I’ve actually been to the Netherlands before and flew into Amsterdam airport but that was the only time I actually spent there. I’d love to go explore the city as it’s full of history and I’d love to visit the canals, Anne Frank house and the Keukenhof flower garden full of dutch tulips. I also love some of Holland’s traditional food like their stroop waffles are the best.

I think Italy is such an amazing place. It has so much historical value such as the Colosseum, Pompeii and of course the Leaning Tower of Pisa. There are so many great cities you visit; of course the capital Rome, Florence, Milan, the home of fashion and so many more. I particularly want to visit Cinque Terre which is on the coast of the Italian Riviera. It composes of 5 small villages all spread out where paths, trains and boats connect the villages, unreachable by cars from the outside. It’s meant to be a lovely place to hike also and I think this place seems like something out of a fairytale.

So that is my travelling bucketlist for the meantime, I actually want to re- visit a couple of places such as France and Isle of Man which hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to do again sometime! Make sure to tell me what’s at the top of your bucket list and see if ours share any similarities!

Spring OOTD

IMG_7307Ahhh, the good weather is finally upon us! Hopefully that doesn’t jinx it lol. I’ve been embracing this warm(ish) weather and got the mom jeans out and decided to write a lil’ OOTD for you! So, in case any of you are lacking style inspo, then you’ve came to the right place (hopefully!).

IMG_7343I purchases this beautiful rainbow- striped crop top from Topshop a few weeks ago and it’s such a fun and happy top that I knew I’d have to feature it in this blog posts. Now either it’s out of stock or discontinued or something else I couldn’t find this on Topshop’s website. That being said, I think this is possibly my now go-to top at the moment, I can’t take it off!

43CB3B82-F8DC-4C60-B036-643D7C441F00I paired it with possibly my favourite pair of jeans ever which are some light- wash distressed mom ones I got from New Look I think around a year ago now. Unfortunately they no longer sell them which is a shame, however I did find this similar pair from H&M which you are free to check out.

For accessories I wore a brown belt from Gap and also a hair bobble (classy I know). I love wearing a belt with mom jeans or any jeans for that matter, I think it makes the outfit look so much more put together.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, I love writing fashion posts for you! I’d also like to say I’ll probably be more inactive over the next few weeks as my exams are coming up, but hopefully I’ll stills be posting weekly!

My Favourite Quotes for Spring

Personally for me, I think I’m most inspired in the Spring time, it’s probably got to do with the sun (which we haven’t had much of) and the whole ‘spring cleaning’ tradition. Today I’m going to be sharing with you a few of my fav quotes that give me that extra boost of inspiration during this time of year.she-was-a-bit-like-spring-wild-as-the-wind-and-fickle-as-the-weather-but-her-love-ran-deep-as-roots.

‘She was a bit like spring; wild as the wind and weather, but her love ran deep as tree roots’

‘All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today’

‘The best way to find out what we really need is to get rid of what we don’t- Marie Kondo’

‘No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow’

‘She looked daisy safe, But smelled rose wild- wyatt’

‘Stop watering the weeds in your life and start watering the flowers’

These quotes make me feel so motivated for the springtime, I love seeing the flowers bloom and the sun come out. I hope you all enjoy and comment your favourite quotes for spring down below!

Friday Favourites- April

Hey everyone, looks like we’re already welcoming the month of May into our midst and that means I’m back with another Friday Favourites- this time for April. I hope you all enjoy and lets begin…

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara in black, this took me a bit of getting used to just like the original but when I did get to terms with it, I rediscovered my love for this mascara. When I curl my lashes, apply some of this I’m good to go. My lashes look layered, volumised, more defined and longer and fluttery- basically everything you would in a mascara.

There’s a new Maybelline Fit Me Concealer on the block, they’ve recently added a few new shades including a lighter one in ’05 ivory’.  They’ve now expanded their shade range to 9 which I think is pretty good for a drugstore brand, This concealer doesn’t crease, cake up and it basically glides on to the skin and feels seamless and I can’t believe I’m saying this but I may have found a replacement for my trusty Seventeen Stay Time.

Recently I’ve been loving this blush and bronzer combo duo by Elf in ‘St Lucia’. It has quite a nice natural bronzer which just warms up your face and the blush compliments it so nicely and it looks beautiful on my skin. It’s so nice if your in a rush and you can just grab it and go and it’s also very affordable.

2002- Anne Marie

High Five- Sigrid

Dandelions- Ruth B

I Like It- Cardi B

I have been absolutely OBSESSED lately with Gossip Girl. It is such a funny, entertaining, light- hearted show and I’m already on Season 2! If you’re looking for a fun, girly programme to binge I’d definitely recommend it, except don’t blame me if you get addicted!

That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed as you all seem to really like my Friday Favourites (sorry that this one is late) and I’ll see you very soon with a new blog post!

My Favourite Grams- Spring 2018

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing with you a few of the grams I’ve been loving recently- ranging from fashion, lifestyle and beauty blogs that I think deserve a lil’ more recognition. I hope you enjoy and without much further ado, I’ll jump straight on into it.

IMG_6884@peachyidc– Probably one of my all time favourite accounts. She’s currently doing a travel theme as she was recently in Paris and all of her pictures are so beautiful and picturesque. Everything fits so lovely together and I’m sure you won’t regret following this account.

IMG_6885@chloeplumstead– One of the best fashion bloggers out there, her outfits are always so put together and a great mix of on trend but also suiting it to her own style. She is totally ROCKING the blazer trend and her oversized jumpers always look gorgeous on her.

IMG_6887 @londonblogger– A blogger based in London as said by the username, her actual name’s Fleur and she has the most beautiful theme, it’s bright and all of her photos of London look so amazing and it makes me so excited to visit London this summer!IMG_6886

@lydiavioleta_– Lydia’s youtube has been a favourite of mine for a while now, I’ll leave a link here if you want to check it out. I love her fashion sense and especially her hauls, so I decided to check her Instagram out and I’m obsessed with her feed and her style.IMG_6888

@lovecarlyallison– Her feed is more lifestyle but it’s got some beauty and fashion mixed in with it and it’s very ‘aesthetically pleasing’ some might say and it looks so cute!IMG_6889

@perksoflaur– Her Instagram is quite white- based and she also has a great Youtube where she has incredible study with mes and I’m sure you can tell by looking at her Instagram how cool her feed is.

I hope you take the time to check out these AMAZING Instagrams as I believe they all deserve a lil’ more recognition and I’ll see you very soon.
