2018- A Q&A

Today I have a q&a for you, it doesn’t have one particular topic but some frequent ones were school, GCSE’s and the new year. I’m also going to be giving you a little update on my life and some questions that are frequently asked but not particularly for this q&a. I asked for questions on Twitter and Instagram, so make sure to follow me on there if you want to be involved in future, my username is @beautyandpizza if you want to follow me. You can comment a question or DM me 🙂

What are you planning to take for your GCSE options?

My GCSE choices have to be in by the 31st of January and along with the core subjects, I’m planning on doing French, History, Double Award science and Food and Nutrition.

Dream Job?

I get asked this quite a lot. I’d love to be a full- time blogger but that’s very unrealistic. I would love to be a doctor as I like the feeling of knowing you’re helping someone and I do quite enjoy science.

Fave subject?

I have a few, I really enjoy Food and Nutrition, Drama and English.

What are your New Year Resolutions and have you stuck to them?

I have a full post on them here, I haven’t stuck to all of them but I’ve started the couch to 5k and am on week 2 and am pretty proud not going to lie!

What do you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

I would have liked to done my grade 5 piano and be working on my grade 6 and done park run, but again all my goals are linked above in last weeks post.

Do you have any exciting plans for 2018?

I’m going to London for my holibobs this year, which I am most excited for, I’m ready to FINALLY hit Oxford Street woohoo. I’m also going down south camping with my scout group which is also very exciting.

Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 and 20 years time?

I really like this question, I think its a very interesting one! Hopefully in 5 years time I will have just started university and I’ll be settled there and hopefully made some great life friends! In 10 years time I would have liked to have moved out and either still be in uni or graduating year? In 20 years I’d like to be married with a child and of course a dog (dream).

What are your favourite hobbies besides blogging?

Does monopoly count? Haha. I love to bake whenever I have the chance but besides that I don’t really have many other hobbies.

How do you manage school, your blog and keeping up with your friends and family?

If I was pri

Favourite place you’ve ever visited?

FLORIDA. It was amazing a dream holiday. It was one of those holidays that’s a once in a lifetime experience. I went to Disney and Universal and it honestly felt like I was living on a different planet! In Europe however, I think it would have to be Isle of man where I went camping last year, it was such a beautiful little country full of wonderful memories which I’ll never forget.

Do you have a follower goal for this year?

When writing this, I am on 248 followers and as crazy as it sounds I’d love to reach 500 followers!? It’s crazy and I’m not sure if we can do it, but lets try! Also on Instagram. I would like to reach 1000 followers, lets do this!

At the end of 2017, I was feeling really unmotivated with my blog, however, I actually think that this new year has given me the motivation I needed and I’m super excited to see where 2018 brings Beautyandpizza! I wish everyone the best for this year, lets d o this thing!

Friday Favourites- November and December

IMG_3721Sorry for no blog post on a Tuesday but I had nothing written and I was too busy enjoying Christmas! I hope you all had a lovely, lovely Christmas full of joy and love with your family and friends. Today I’m doing my Friday favs for November AND December as I forgot to do one in November… oops!

Starting off with makeup, the Rimmel stay matte has became a staple in my makeup. I found used sparingly this makes my makeup look perfect, beware though, specially with dry skin if you use too much it can look cakey but for £4 it’s pretty awesome.

Next, the only other makeup product i have to show you is this L’Oréal Paris infalliable 2 step liquid lipstick in ‘permanent rose’. Basically it is a double ended lipstick on one side you have the lippie and on the other a balm to apply when the lipstick drys (which is usually around 2 minutes) which makes it last throughout the full day. It does fade but I can confirm the colour does last throughout the day and it’s such a great idea!

Next I have the Daisy perfume by Marc Jacobs which has been one I have loved for a while now, but I’ve been using it even more in these past few months and it’s just such a fresh, floral and clean scent that is so perfect!

Moving on to YouTube I’ve been loving Floral Princess’, Lovevie’s and Olivia Grace’s Vlogmas- their videos are so entertaining to watch!

And that’s it, best wishes for the new year everyone xx

A Cosy Winter Primark Haul

I think we can all agree that Primark does the best Christmas, cosy, winter items for the best prices. So today I have a little haul for you today of the stuff that caught my eye while I was in there, along with a few basic necessities.

8D24172B-9CEE-4BD4-96F7-165FB6FAA5D0IMG_3070Ok, so my favourite thing in this haul, HAS to be this gorgeous, red tartan blanket- throw which has comfy (fake) fur in the inside and is officially the softest, cuddliest thing ever. I have another throw from Primark which is a lot smaller and lighter than this one, this one is ginormous and for £15, BARGAIN!

IMG_3066I also got this two pack of basic black gloves which I feel like is a necessity during this time of year and as it was recently snowing these were perfect and these were only £1.

IMG_3057I saw this adorable bobble hat which is black and on top is this white and black furry bobble thing which is cute, and in Primark they had a great selection of bauble hats for only £2- WOOHOO!

IMG_3054Primark is famous for its fluffy socks section and with Christmas coming up it’s extra big! I got these rather festive red and white ones with little specks of glitter and most are £1.80 for two pairs!

IMG_3060I also got these black, fluffy trainer socks so if I’m ever going out but I don’t want my wee feet to go cold these would be perfect. However, lets be honest I’m not just going to wear these when I’m going out, I’m going to wear them ALL THE TIME.

IMG_3067IMG_3069I then was searching for a belt, a big thick jeans one which was black to wear with this skirt I’m planning to wear on Christmas Day. However I got it in the size medium which I thought would fit because they only had that and sizes L or XL left. However it’s really big on me and I can’t return it but it’s only £2 so no real loss.

IMG_3063I got this super cute ribbon type of choker which I’ve seen around a lot recently and I really like the trend so when I saw this for only £2! I had to pick it up. I’m thinking of wearing this on Chrsitmas day to finish off my outfit and it fits really nicely and if you’re looking for one of these, Primark is the place to go!

And that’s it, it wasn’t huge but I love some of the things I picked up (particularly that throw ahh)! See you soon with maybe a cheeky lil’ Christmas post 😉

The Christmas Tag

Processed with VSCO with a6 presetI love a good ol’ Christmas Tag, I’m pretty sure I did one last year, but I think I deleted it. They get me in such a Christmassy mood, writing my answers and reading everyone else’s answers!

What is your favourite Christmas film?

I can’t choose between The Grinch and Elf, they’re both my favourites but I also love Home Alone, I love them all!

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

I’ve never opened any presents on Christmas Eve, always been Christmas day for me!

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I don’t think I have a favourite but one from when I was younger was when I was spending Christmas Day at my Grandparent’s house and me and my sister were chasing each other around the house with our dolly prams!

Favourite festive food?

For Christmas Dinner either mini sausages or turkey but in general you can’t beat a mince pie!

Favourite Christmas scent?

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

On Christmas Eve we always go to my family friends house and have a few treats and it feels so festive!

What tops your tree?

It’s always been an angel for us!

As a kid what was the one extravagant, crazy gift you always asked for but ever received?

A dog, I’d still love one now but I know I’d never get one so I don’t ask for one anymore!

What’s the best part about Christmas for you?

I love all of Christmas, especially the countdown. During the countdown to Christmas everyone is in such a merry mood and visiting the Christmas fair, enjoying a mince pie and hot chocolate, watching I’m a Celeb all just feels too Christmassy!

Real tree or fake tree?

I would love a real tree but in my house we always have a fake tree.

What’s your favourite makeup look for the festive season?

I don’t have a go- to but it would probably be a red if I was feeling out there and brown- gold eyes!

Where would be your favourite place to visit during holiday season?

If I could go anywhere, I’d love to visit New York during Christmas and go ice- skating and ahh! It would be the best time ever!

Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
